A Message From Windstar Cruises- Caribbean Update
While we are deeply saddened by the damage from the recent hurricanes, the Caribbean is already rebuilding and open for travelers. At Windstar, we’re getting ready to kick off our Caribbean cruise season and our voyages will depart from San Juan, Puerto Rico and Bridgetown, Barbados.
Day by day, more hotels, restaurants, and shops are welcoming customers back to these wondrous islands. The San Juan Airport is fully operational with 70 flights a day, and the cruise port has had more than 5,000 passengers in the last two weeks. Many hotels, restaurants, and tour attractions in the area have reopened for business and are serving the tourists who are returning. Eighty percent of the Caribbean islands – including Barbados – did not sustain any damage from these storms. To help welcome guests back to the Caribbean, we are offering a special Caribbean Is Open Cruise Package full of additional perks and savings on all 2017 Caribbean sailings. Enjoy extraordinary cruise pricing, $200 shipboard credit, and free onboard Wi-Fi for posting all those envy-inducing vacation photos.
Candidly, the news of the hurricanes has reduced Caribbean demand, despite the limited area of impact. This has resulted in unprecedented low fares that have never been seen before, and will never be seen again.
